I’ve lived my life sheltered by the mountains of Utah, Nevada, and Colorado and earned my living in snug classrooms filled with laughter and learning. Along the way, I played a variety of roles: some well, others not so well; some enjoyable, others not.
I loved, longed, celebrated, procrastinated, achieved, despaired and thrilled. And as one year faded into another, I continually tried to make my naturally wavy hair either straighter or curlier.
Today I share a comfortable home with a husband I love and enjoy in a small, northwestern Colorado town that suits me. And—most days—I count my blessings.

You’re right, Cinique, we were having fun snowshoeing in the Medicine Bow area. Joel had just stepped into a gully full of soft snow and had to wallow his way out: thus the snow to his waist.

Good morning my dear friend Janet, aka. Aunt Beulah or my aka for you, the run away principal. Obviously it was an excellent decision, would love to meet Joel, he has to be a special person.
I’m slowly learning how to navigate the Internet and all things on my iPhone and iPad. It was your corresponding with our Miracle Warrior Laurel, that I learned of your visit to Carson. Is it the beginning of a national book tour? Did you know hysterical Sally Mosher Mooney also published a book? It’s wonderful too, you can just hear her voice as I do yours in your prose.
My birthday party was an amazing surprise, I loved every minute. Thank you so much for your beautiful letter. Micheline read it, made me shed a few tears. You remembered things I’d forgotten! Oh, well goes with the territory.
I too would like to order a book. I would love to see you but I know how precious time becomes on a short visit. The Seeliger retirees meet every Wed Am at 8:00 at the San Rafael Coffee Company. 711 S Carson St. A little south of the Ormbsy house on the opposit side of the street. We would all love to see you.
Hope your mouth and eyes continue to serve you better. My dear friend Susan after her cataract surgery exclaimed, “OMG, I can’t believe how many cobwebs there are in the house”. Massive house cleaning.

Thank you for noticing my absence and for your concern, Neil. I am fine, but for several months have felt my life had become too cluttered with busyness, that I was missing out on the quiet moments I had retired for by trying to do too much. So I began re-evaluating my use of time and making changes, among them a decision to stop blogging myself so I could concentrate on the blogs of others whose writing and topics I enjoy, yours among them. I’m due to post a blog tonight, and it will be my decision to stop writing Aunt Beulah. It will focus on my need for more time to be appreciative of my life, which is true, rather than my need to have more time to read blogs, because I’m going to be selective about those I continue to read regularly.Hey, you fortunate fellow, how does it feel to be among the chosen few?
